Solidarity Against Colonialism

Solidarity with the Bawating Water Protectors #Reoccupation of Parliament Hill & Unsettling Canada 150

Kitchissippi Town Hall Meeting to Defend Home Mail Delivery

Wednesday, April 9 @ 7 p.m
Hintonburg Community Centre, 1064 Wellington Street

For generations, Canadians have always counted on simple door-to-door mail delivery from Canada Post. Now, door-to-door delivery is being cut by the federal government from coast to coast, starting as early as this Fall in Kanata. Will Kitchissippi be next?

Join a public meeting to discuss the threat to postal home delivery in Kitchissippi and across Ottawa, and more importantly, what we might do to defend home delivery as a vital public service, and one that many seniors and persons with disabilities depend on daily.

Speakers at the event will include:

NICK APLIN
An 81-year-old Kitchissippi political activist, and retired engineer.

PETER DENLEY
A representative of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers.

SHELLIE BIRD
A child care worker and Solidarity Against Austerity organizer.
